Sugar Revolution is a Kuwaiti/American concept that started in 2013 by two friends, Farah Dashti and Nicole Chin, while studying in the States. Farah, who previously owned Frost Bakery in Kuwait, and Nicole, who grew up in New Orleans in a family of restaurateurs, both wanted to bring something to the table that came from both backgrounds. Since then, their concept has evolved over time, with their main focus now being on customized cakes. However, their end goal was to revolutionize the way that cakes were made. They believed that by creating something that invoked a feeling, they would be on to something. That’s when their concept of interactive pinata cakes came to be, and they haven’t looked back since.
